Working as a young lawyer at one of the country’s top litigation firms, Kim Channick was asked to join a trial team. She leapt at the chance and has never looked back. During her six years of practice, Kim has served on six trial teams in increasingly senior roles. Each case was tried to verdict and resulted in complete victories for her clients.
Kim has expertise in all aspects of trial strategy and preparation, from bellwether selection through closing arguments. Kim has experience in taking depositions, vetting and preparing witnesses, drafting motions for all stages of litigation, and leading large trial teams in complex, high stakes cases. She has second chaired numerous witnesses at trial and provided strategic counsel for opening and closing arguments.
One of Kim’s particular passions is working with the doctors, scientists, academics, and other experts who help jurors and judges understand a case’s complex issues. The critical first step in that process is thoroughly understanding those issues ourselves. Kim has deeply enjoyed the extensive time she has spent learning from experts in a wide range of specialties, including cardiology, hematology, statistical analysis, and the intricacies of federal product regulations. This work has taken Kim to hospitals and universities across the country, including University of California San Francisco, Massachusetts General Hospital, Tulane University, University of Pennsylvania, and many more.
